Every man/woman has a right to an unbiased jury, equal rights no matter race, religion, gender, sexuality' A fair trial, a limit to the time they have to serve - he allegedly commited one crime - people in the UK have been found guilty and served less time for greater crimes - let an innocent man go free - if not that - let the man have a fair trial by jury!!! |

I'am as old as Gary Tayler. In the early '80s, my favorite rock song was "Tyler" from UB40. I wanted to find out if this Tyler exists in reality, but could not find any information. Today, almost 3 decades later, I searched the internet and was shocked: America, you brought us democracy - how could you do this ? why can't you end this ?

The Human rights Bill that applies to the UK is, in my opinion, an absolute disgrace, in that it leans in almost all instances in favour of the guilty. This type of injustice however is the polar opposite. I find it hard to believe that the United States a country which I greatly admire can in this century have a case of this nature not only unresolved but seemingly ignored. Only a united political concensus will resolve any and all such cases and Congress needs to grit it's teeth and deal with these matters outright. |

We, the undersigned, believe that Gary Tyler was convicted in 1975 not by facts, but by racism, vengeance and manufactured evidence. Denied a fair trial 32 years ago, imprisoned for life for a crime he did not commit, we call on you to free Gary Tyler now. |

What a "luck" for Gary Tyler he had not to face the death penalty at the end... :(
I hope he gets rehabilitated and compensated (though one can't be compensated for a ruined life) at lifetime.
To the ones responsibles of this case: Please show that people - no matter which race, gender or color of skin - still can get a fair trial and sentence in the USA! |
